How To Join

Post 754 has two requirements. If you meet both, we want to hear from you.

You served. The American Legion welcomes anyone who served honorably in the U.S. Armed Forces at any time since December 7, 1941, whether on active duty, in the Reserve, or in the National Guard. Officer or enlisted, one tour or thirty years, it all counts. If you're not sure you qualify, ask us. Eligibility is broader than most people think.

You belong to the New York Athletic Club. Post 754 is a resident post of the NYAC, and every member of the Post is a member of the Club. The Club is where we meet, host events, and gather as a community of veterans. Not yet a Club member? We can help you start there, and we're glad to answer questions about the Post while you go through that process.

What we ask of members. Show up when you can. Bring what you know. Our members work across a diverse array of industries and they open those doors for veterans coming behind them. That only works if members stay engaged.

Ready to join? Email adjutant@alpost754.org with your DD-214 or other proof of service and your NYAC membership confirmation. We'll take it from there. Already a Legionnaire at another post? You can transfer to Post 754 without reapplying (still must be a NYAC member).

Come see us first. We meet regularly at the the NYAC. We'd like to meet you!
